Please use this topic to provide a list of examples on how to connect technic pieces at right angles.
Here are a few examples:

My LEGO Education catalogue just arrived. It shows "Technic Crossblocks" #Z991405 for $12. It shows 5 of the pin joiners. It has 5 each of 6 joiners.

these names are from Purdue's Unofficial GUide.
5x split cross block
5x inverted cross block
5x corner peg joiner (pin joiners)
5x double cross block
5x extended cross block
5x double peg joiner

I don't know if the "limited quantity" referred to the pneumatic tubing or the hassenpins.

Technic beams w/ snaps #z991404 (15 hassenpins and 15 of the 4-pin blocks).

Attached is a chart I made for connecting beams at right angles for the various orientations of the two beams.

For each of the three ways that two beams can meet at a right angle, the bold numbers indicate which connectors might be used for a rigid connection. The non-bold numbers can also make the connection but it won't be rigid.

If I've missed any let me know.
